This policy explains how Dev Innovation Tech (“Dev Innovation Tech”, “we”) handles personal data, in line with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”) and the rules made under it.
1. Two different roles
- Website and enquiries. When you visit this website, book a demo or apply as a partner, we decide why and how your data is used. We are the Data Fiduciary.
- Data inside the SmartWorker app. When a business puts its customers’, suppliers’ and staff’s data into SmartWorker, that business is the Data Fiduciary. We process that data only on its instructions, as its Data Processor. Each company’s data is kept separate from every other company’s.
2. What we collect on this website
- Demo requests: your name, business name, city, phone/WhatsApp number, preferred day and time, and the topics you pick.
- Partner applications: your name, firm, type of practice, city, phone, email, approximate number of clients and any message.
- How these forms work: this website does not store or send what you type. When you press the button, WhatsApp opens with your details written into a message to our marketing team (+91 86681 92150). The details reach us only if you press Send in WhatsApp. You can read and change the message before sending it.
- Free tools: nothing. The GST invoice maker, amount-in-words tool and late-payment calculator run in your browser. If you choose “remember my details”, they are stored only in your browser on your device.
- Analytics: none. This website does not use analytics or tracking cookies.
We do not use advertising trackers and we do not sell personal data.
3. Why we use it
Only for the purpose you gave consent for: to arrange your demo, or to process your partner application, and to answer your questions about it. We will not use it for anything else without asking you.
4. Your consent
We ask for clear consent with a checkbox before you send a form. You can withdraw consent at any time by writing to grievance@devautomation.tech or on WhatsApp. Withdrawing is as easy as giving consent. After you withdraw, we stop using your data for that purpose and delete it unless the law requires us to keep it.
5. How long we keep it
Enquiry messages are kept only as long as we need them to answer and follow up your enquiry, then deleted, unless you become a customer or the law requires longer retention (for example, tax records). You can ask us to delete them earlier at any time by writing to grievance@devautomation.tech.
6. Who we share it with
Messages you send us through the forms travel through WhatsApp (Meta Platforms), under WhatsApp's own terms and privacy policy, and are kept in our marketing team's WhatsApp until deleted. Otherwise, only service providers who help us run our products and this website, under contract and only for these purposes — such as the companies that host this website and our products, and our email provider. Some providers may store data outside India where the DPDP Act allows it.
7. How we protect it
We use reasonable security safeguards, including access limited by role and separation of each company’s data. If a personal data breach happens, we will inform the Data Protection Board of India and the people affected, as the law requires.
8. Your rights
- Access: ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it.
- Correction and erasure: ask us to correct, complete, update or delete your data.
- Grievance redressal: complain to our Grievance Officer (below). If you are not satisfied, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.
- Nominate: name a person to exercise these rights for you in case of death or incapacity.
For data inside a business’s SmartWorker account (for example, if you are that business’s customer or employee), please contact that business first; we will help them respond.
9. Children
This website and our products are meant for businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal data of children (under 18) without verifiable consent of a parent or guardian.
